we’re trying something new this time - i’ve found a photo to commemorate week #26 because i feel dear roundup could use a visual component. we’ll see how long it lasts. don’t you fret yourself about my procrastination and lack of commitment to ideas though, ahead are some terrific things to read into the long weekend!

TO READ:

  1. are you thinking of starting an e-mail campaign? don’t. if you must (like “really really have to you’ll die if you don’t start that mailchimp account” sort of way), here’s the best time to send your spam so people actually read it 
  2. apparently mitt romney has hot sons. this is only a story because his political qualifications are zero existent
  3. in an unprecedented turn of events, the WSJ made a funny, tackling gym behavior in a very “this is why you’re fat, don’t be an asshole” type of way 
  4. the times brings us more advice regarding concerns only rich people have. like when you go to a restaurant, order something at “market price” and then choke on your $250 plate of pasta upon seeing the bill. we all do that, right?
  5. dear Jen Doll tackles yet another thing we all do because we’re urbanite assholes with hilarity and poise in runnin’ scared
  6. as we approach valentine’s day (dreaded holiday, that one), it’s nice to remember that not all celebrations are so loveydovey and sometimes you get punched in the face, time out ny

  8. how much Adderall did y’all take last finals season exactly?! apparently a whole effin lot cause now the whole country’s out! nytimes

  13. lady friends, stop stunting your own careers! how? just act like a man, duh
  14. somewhere in the world, people are paid insane amounts of money to race very expensive sailboats extremely fast. other people are paid to go watch them do this. new friend Ned Hepburn is one of the latter (lucky bastard) and he wrote about the experience for The Classical

  1. these lovely pumps from Aldo, in purple suede. and they’re on sale. Natalie Joos says they’re comfortable. if only they had them in that yellow i could call off the the great bridesmaid shoe search
  2. yes, this is a weight watchers recipe. that just means i can eat the whole tray because it’s fat free, right?
  3. this turkish bath towel, which i plan to use as a scarf in winter and a beach towel/cover up in summer. cause i’m crafty like that. really Lauren Giansante is crafty like that, i’m just “repurposing” her idea
  4. since i can’t decide on a pattern, how about this one too? a gal’s gotta have options
  5. and this Filson field bag, in blue, pleases
